Hay Lin ran into Sheffield Institute as fast as she could. She was really late!
Her long blue-black pigtails sailed behind her as she sprinted down the halls-Her trainers squeaked on the floor.
She burst into her History class and went red as everyone stared at her.
"Sorry I'm late!" Hay Lin said cheerfully to the teacher,Giving him a big grin.
She plopped down beside Taranee and Will.

"Hey," Taranee muttered, scribbling in down in her orange book, pushing it so Hay could glance over and copy her notes so far.

"Hey Taranne,"Hay Lin said grinning. She copied the notes down. "Thanks," She said to her.

"I always hated History," Will sighed as she scribbled down notes. Mr. Collins was talking extremely fast and it was hard to catch every detail. "How come you were late?"

"She's been in the art room, Me and Hay are working together on a piece and she said she was going to work on it. We had to draw ourselves as magical beings." Taranee saw a gasp of horror on Will's face. "Don't worry, we haven't done ourselves as guardians. Hay is a fairy and I'm an elf," she smiled.

"Yeah,"Hay Lin said smiling. Although a witch would have been cool.

"Well that's good," Will said with approval.

"Would you girls like to share your conversation with us?" Mr. Collins demanded from the front of the classroom.

((Ooc: I've typed Hai so many times and had to correct XD ))

"No Professor Collins," simpered Taranee as she copied a picture out of the History book.

Hay Lin shot him one of her trade-mark grins,And replied sweetly. "We were just saying how interesting your History class is." She grinned harder.

Will tried to hide a grin. She knew Mr. Collins was a sucker for a good comment.

"Yes," Will said. "We were just talking about how great it was."

Hay Lin giggled and scribbled down a note to Will.

Do we have Power Practice Today?

Yep. Will scribbled back. We definitely need practice. Espicially since Irma practically flooded Heatherfield. Can you pass the note to Taranee, too?

Will handed the note to Hay Lin in a way that was supposed to be sneaky, but she could swear she saw Mr. Collins glance at her, but he didn't say anything.

Hay Lin passed it on. She took down some notes,And then the bell went.

"Finally!" Will sighed, as she scrambled to get her books into her bag. Will left the classroom with Hay Lin and Taranee. Mr. Collins gave her a suspicious glance as she walked past. Will tried to look as innocent as possible.

Hay Lin noticed Mr.Collins looking At Will. She pointed one finger sneakily at a stack of test papers on his desk. "Air!" She whispered as a bolt of silver magic shot out of her finger and swept the papers up in a gust of wind.

"Nice one!" grinned Taranee, as the trio made their way out of the stuffy classroom.

Hay Lin headed for her English class. She had a twelve page Essay for laughing with Cornelia.

"Have fun with your essay while the rest of us are doing drama!" chuckled Taranee.

Will waved good-bye to Hay Lin as she and Taranee met up with Irma to go to drama class. "I hope Ms. Willaims doesn't make up preform today."

"I snagged the role of narrator. I can't act if I feel stupid!" Taranee shuddered, "Hay said she won't be too long with the essay and will catch up with the rest of us, soon!"

"That's good!" Will said, as Ms. Williams called the class to order.

"All right, settle down everyone!" she said, waving her hands. "Today, you will be performing your miniature plays. Any volunteers?"

Of course, no one raised their hands.

"Then I guess I'll have to choose a group to go first," Ms. Williams said.

Not us, not us, not us, where's Irma when you need her? though Taranee, trying to connect mentally with Will.

I hate it when Irma comes in late! thought Will, hoping Taranee was reading her mind.

"How about...Uriah's group?" Ms. Williams said. Will sighed with relief. Uriah, Kurt, Laurence, and Nigel went up to preform. Their skit was terrible, though Nigel was pretty good. Will couldn't help but notice Taranee blush as Nigel performed.

Hay Lin's not here, neithers Irma or Cornelia, so she can't make us perform. Where are they? Ms. Williams said she wouldn't do too many performances today. Taranee felt herself blushing when Nigel came off the stage. Ms. Williams announced that Bess, Courtney and Alchemy were next, and final drama skit for today. Nigel gave a small wave to Taranee, who blushed a deeper pink, and gave a tiny wave back. Nigel is so cute! Taranee thought. Oh, I hope that didn't broadcast to Will!

However, when Will saw Nigel wave to Taranee, Taranee blushed again. Will smiled a tiny bit, looking pleased. Taranee asked why she was smiling, but Will told her she was just relieved they didn't have to perform.

"We better get to lunch," Will said, when the bell rang. Will and Taranee caught up with Hay Lin and Cornelia.

"Where's Irma?" Will asked. "She was supposed to be here."
